Hermione's babies born 22nd March 2010

The babies are 51 weeks old, didn't spend much time with them as i'm syringe feeding Bailey who is not well every 1/2 hour but did get a couple of quick pics.

Willow and Nutkin's birthday's are this week. I don't know the exact days so will have Nutkin's 15th and Willow's 17th.

Happy birthday Lottie, Ronald-Harry, Isabella and Blossom! one year old  Tuesday 22nd March 2011

The day is finally here, they had a fruit hamster stick treat, of course they ate the nuts first but later Lottie was enjoying the fruit stick.

These babies have been the most friendly babies i've bred and are doing so well and beautiful, its been a pleasure to watch them grow up and i hope that continues for many years to come.

I took photos i'll be adding them in abit but still got alot of sorting out to do.

For now i thought i'd add my notes i made as the babies were very young.

Hermione's First Litter:

Mum - Hermione, Colour: Dilute White, Date of Birth: 5th March 2009, Mother: Loopy (Agouti), Father: Nosey (Agouti), Siblings: brothers and sisters Agouti & Dilute.
Dad - Asriel, Colour: Dilute White, Date of Birth: 7th March 2008, Mother: Squidgy (Agouti), Father: Gubey (Agouti), Siblings: 7 brothers (3 Dilute/4 Agouti.)

Date of Mating: Fri 19th Feb 2010, Date of giving birth: Mon 22nd Mar 2010, Number of babies: 4, Gender: three girls/one boy, Colour: Dilute White.
First fur: 10 days old (1st April), Whiskers: 11 days old (2nd April), Fur on tail: 2 wks old (5th April), Claws: 2 weeks old (5th April), Fur fully through: 17 days old (8th April), Stripes first appeared: 16 days old (7th April), Bottom teeth: 17 days od (8th April), Belly fur: 18 days old (9th April), Stripes darkened: 18 days old (9th April), Ears stand up: 17 days old (8th April), Top teeth: two girls April 14/ Girl & boy April 16. Chattering: April 7 (16 days old)
Eyes Opened: Girl 1, one eye April 16 (, both eyes April 17. Girl 2 one eye part open April 17, both eyes open April 18. Girl 3 and boy both eyes open April 19.
Length incl tail: April 2nd - 10 cm (11 days old), April 5th - 11cm (14 days old). April 7th (16 days old) - two girls 12 cm/boy & girl 12 1/2cm. April 9th (18 days old) - two girls & boy 13 1/2 cm /girl 13cm. April 12th - two girls 15 1/2 cm/boy & girl 16 cm. April 16th - boy & girl 18cm/girl 17cm/ girl 17 1/2cm. April 19th - boy 20 1/2 cm/ girl 20cm/ girl 19cm/ girl 19 1/2cm.

Finished sorting through the photos and video footage all in all i've got over 250 pictures from yesterday, heres a selection of some of them.

The girls we really having fun getting into everything i brought outside with me and they are now getting used to the work we are doing for the new aviaries. They also just sat on the scales today with just a tiny bit of bribary 

They often steal nuts from each other in one pic there was a scuffle, Blossom decided to take Lottie's nut. Lottie might be the smallest but she is one tough cookie. Blossom won but Lottie gave a good fight.

Lottie now has flattened ears not fully flattened but they don't stick up quite like Isabella's. Her left ear is the most flattened and as Blossom's right ear is flattened it does make it easier to tell them apart since both girls do look quite alike.  Lottie is the smallest of the babies but she has put weight on now and is only slightly smaller than Blossom. She almost died as a three week old so i'm so pleased she is just as healthy as the others. Lottie loves to burrow in side my clothes she oftens also stands up on her back legs, very cute. Lottie is the loudest chirper out of the sisters and she loves the wheel especially likes to run in it first thing in the morning.

Ronald-Harry has ears which stick up but are pointy like Hermione's and Ronald's also stick outwards. He is a big boy probably the biggest of the babies. He isn't as tame as his sisters but will take food from me happily. Ronald can be quite actobatic he oftens shows off to the girls next to him by doing flips. I love my Ronald-Harry.

Isabella has normal standing up ears but both ears have a split down them which makes her look very tough and makes her instantly recongnisable. Her ears are also pointy so looks like she also inherited mums pointy ears. She is the biggest of her sisters, she is double the size of them. Isabella loves the feel of fabric she loves to rub on my clothes she is also the biggest flirt.

Blossom also has quite distinctive ears, her left ear is very flattened which can make it looks like she only has one ear. Blossom used to be the most bold out of the babies but now the three girls are quite equal. Little Blossom always seems to have alot of energy i often see her running around first thing in the morning.

She was a very special girl who will always be missed, R.I.P. my angel

aww ive only just seen these jen, they are sooo cute
