Very gorgeous sunny themselves!

I've lost my camera, nearly a year ago now  The last memory of it is a photo I have of Tiny pushing it into the bin of all things and I swear I got it out!! I have never seen it since and I am blaming my naught chipmunk now  most expensive chipmunk ever

Nutkin and Willow are both doing fine, i am planning to let them out of their cage into the main aviary next week, i just hope it goes well.

I let Willow and Nutkin out today. Willow was the first to leave it took her awhile to find the open door but soon she was off exploring. Nutkin took ages to leave and i wondered if she would have to stay the night in there on her own, Bailey went in and out the cage but she stayed in, i tried to persuade her by putting my arm there for her to climb up and a ladder but she either didn't want to leave or didn't realise the door was open. I left the aviary to visit the Dilutes and while in there it took awhile but finally Nutkin left the cage.

The introduction was ok but didn't go the best with Abigail she mounted Willow but then went for her and she also went for Nutkin a few times so they are staying out of her way, it went fine with Bailey he showed no aggression but was mounting both girls. I will keep a close eye on them all, as i can see at the moment Nutkin and Willow are still out and about, one has gone back into their cage the other one is running around on the top, i left the door open incase they would like to sleep in their nest box tonight but there is also a box for them in the aviary house aswell. Hopefully Abigail will get used to them and once she has established dominance they will get on ok.

Both Nutkin and Willow slept in the cage last night, they both woke up this morning in the nest box in the cage. Willow soon left the cage and spent all day out with Bailey and Abigail, things seemed ok with them, it was a hot day 29c so the three were relaxing most of the time. Nutkin though stayed in the cage most of the day, eventually late afternoon she came out and explored for a few hours before returning to bed in the cage again. I also saw Willow on the cage then she disappeared so she may have joined Nutkin again in the nestbox in the cage. I'm going to leave the cage for another week to give them all a chance to get used to things, maybe Willow and Nutkin will decide to join the others for sleep sometime instead of staying in the cage at night but for now things seem ok.

Thanks Judy, Abigail is abit better with them now but Willow and Nutkin are nervous of her so stay out of her way alot of the time.

Nutkin and Willow still sleep in the cage at night. Willow spends almost all the time out of the cage. Nutkin is spending less time in the cage but she goes in and out of it frequency. I'm am feeding them in the cage. Both don't seem too nervous of me but they haven't climbed on me yet.

Last night Willow and Nutkin spent their first night out of the cage, both slept in the hammock, it was still quite hot last night and i think their nest was probably too warm for them.

Tonight i also saw one of them go in the hammock so looks like they are sleeping in there again.

Abigail is being alittle bit funny with them, chasing them around abit. Most of the time they keep out of her and Bailey's way. He's still trying to mate alot.

I removed the cage, at first the babies got a little concerned, Willow was trying to get in the door i had closed and when i started removing the cage, Nutkin went and sat at the top of the aviary like she was in a strop, she just stared at me and didn't move for awhile. Abigail didn't waste time and started digging in the spot the cage had been. I fed them at the bottom of the aviary as Willow and Nutkin don't know the routine of me putting the food in the night house. I'm not even sure Nutkin has been in there at all yet. Willow did the first day but i don't think she has since. Both of them are sleeping in the hammock tonight, they have been every night since last week. Willow is alittle bit bolder than Nutkin, Nutkin is quite shy, Nutkin is also abit nervous of Bailey and Abigail and is squeeling abit if they come too near. Bailey is abit prosessive of food and was guarding the bowl abit from the other too, the only one he is nervous about and will move away is if Abigail comes to the bowl, she's the boss and none of them get in her way. Last summer i had two bowls, one outside and one in the aviary house and i might try that again so Bailey and Abigail can have one bowl and Willow and Nutkin the other so they don't have to feel so nervous eating around the other two. Only reason i stopped was all the rain we had, the bowl outside got soaked so as long as the weather stays nice then it would be ok.

I think the last two days Willow and Nutkin have been sleeping in the night house. It seems Bailey has taken over the hammock. He woke up before it was fully light today.

There's a pic of Abigail trying Avocado, her and Bailey were the only ones out of the four i saw try it. Willow and Nutkin were more interested in mealworms.
I also gave the Avocado to Pearl, Hermione, the babies and Asriel. One baby started throwing up after eating it, she throw up a few times and then went back to normal, i have one more but not sure whether to give it to them again.

I had to remove Abigail today, she attacked Willow and it was vicious, she was rolling around in a ball with her. I wasn't going to take any chances so i separated them. I was bringing her indoors in autumn anyway as she is retiring. I hope Bailey will be ok with them now. He is guarding the food, he sits in the bowl. They have to wait until he has finished before they can eat so i gave them some food separately.

Update from today, Willow and Nutkin doing well. It was 32c today so the chippies weren't doing much but trying to keep cool. Pearl and Abigail were nice and cool though as we have air conditioning in the house. The Chippies all tried Pomegranate today, they seemed to like it.
