i have 2 pairs of chipmunks just latley the females have started chasing the males round the cages this goes on the most of the day
they are in single pairs only in 2 seperate cages and different rooms
they are not pregnant as only 5-6 months old
this has only happened in the last week they have been together for around 2 months and got on fine before now
the older pair i have approx 2 years are fine no fighting at all
any idea what this can be we thought maybe the heat but not sure
also there are a lot of birds chirping as we live right by sedgley beacon
