trying to find ways to make barleys cage more interesting... he already has branches, a wheel and a perch, but does anyone have any ideas for some more interesting stuff?

Try his favourite treat in an ice cube. It kept mine entertain for quite a while! Also toilet tubes, tubes from wrapping paper and drain pipes all make good tunnels! I have a little wooden swing I made for mine and they love it! Try going to B&Q and getting rope! It's cheaper than pet shops and even though it's thin my chippies have no trouble running on it! They also like bells, such as cat toys or anything else that makes a noise! =L

I dont quiet know but maybe install something thats really difficult to get to, like an observation post?? I know from my chips that their greatest yearn is curiosity. So with that, construct the cage with features a chippie would find interesting. Another, they love digging. Maybe compost.

ive made a kinda haynet that doubles as a hammock. i was wondering about some kind of piping for him to crawl about in?

I use old drainpipes hung from the roof with zip ties  they enjoy the challenge of getting in and out.

We have 2 old 2 litre coke bottles, one horizontal with 3 holes in for them to go in and our and one vertical with one hole near the bottom for them to go in and out of.
