new aviary done at last

at long last after a lot of time hard work and money the aviary is done and the chippys love it i have tried to upload all the photos but cant seem to i will try again also can any one tell me when and how long they hibernate for as this would be there first time this year

Looks amazing!  im not sure how long they hibernate as mine live indoors btw can you tell me what branches those are as im looking for some cheers

If your babes are sleeping inside the shed I would not expect them to hibernate more like sleep a bit later during the day but still be active if their nest is in the warm they tend to stay awake. Having said that if it is the first winter for them they may not wish to go to sleep anyway...Kids just want to have fun no matter what the species.......

hi the branches are from the fir tree also thanks for your reply also to tarcus we have put some logs in which we sit on and i will put more shelf in at the top and i have only to get a wheel for the outside part of the aviary for the boys to play with as they have one in the inside of there shed in there cage
