Hi Nate, I like that Swiss chalets. I was going to make my own, but I was bought them for a present so they are staying. And yes that trunk is a big branch from a cherry blossom tree. Hopefully it`s chippy safe.
The tubing I use at work, and that`s a 10m off cut ..ahem. I cant decide if I should cut it up or use a decent length. Maybe a 5m length and a few shorter bits would keep them happy.
I hope they think they have won the lottery when they come, or at least enjoy the space.
Nate did you get my email with the other design? It had the purgola included.

wow...its taking shape now, I like the little chipmunk sauna's you have. I had to partly re-build my aviary today as we have had loads of rain and some water had been getting into the nesting area.
I hope you get your chipmunks soon.

Ha ha! Thanks Stephen, chalets and sauna`s  ;) I`m getting bullied about my nesting boxes and I cant report it.
Sorry to hear about your flood. Was it an easy repair, or did you have to just let it dry out?
My ferns not as good as yours. I`m just glad it`s still alive because I don't have much luck with plants.

i didnt have a lot of damage, as you say i just let the area dry out, then put a layer of  roofing felt over the nesting box then some wood then soil. I  have had to replace my fern as they dont seem to be lasting very well.

Gilly's pagoda

Steve's pagoda extension.

Steve, this looks like an improvement, I did have a gigle at the size of the roof cross beams though  ;D They look like giant oak beams, sure this must be the 3D program not letting specify the size you wanted.

BTW. Only kidding about the Swiss Chalets. I'm so sad I bought mine a log cabin kit just cos it looked like a log cabin. Even modified it to suit my chips even better. Fortunatly it's one of the places they use to sleep in, so they must like it too.
