help needed please

my female chippie look's rather large on the backend on the private part,dont know the right term to use,allso i have been told she may be haveing a litter she seem's to be getting a bit nasty  toward's the other,any help would be greatfull i have four female's and two male's the female i am speakeing about is about a year old,when i bought her only two weeks ago and the rest are 4 to 5 months old.she was kept with adult males before i had her,,,

Hi, sorry for the delay, been away for a couple of days.

From everything you say it does sound as if she could be pregnant. Although they tend to breed spring and autumn, they can breed through the summer. The mother carries the unborn babies just under her back legs, so if that's where she's getting larger then babies could be on the way. Also being aggressive towards the males is another sign, but that maybe because you have only just got her, so she's settling in. Please if you can separate her from the others, as the others may not take to a new litter, and she will have enough to do without fending off the other ones. I know it's an easy thing to say, as not many people have empty spare aviaries, but it will give you and her some peace of mind if she is pregnant.
