Ur chipmunks look fab and so happy, I have a question in regards to Cherries which I can see you put in your cage whole is this ok as was not sure about the pip?

I used to have 13 chipmunks and gave them cherries every week for a few years and never had any problem, the two chipmunks I have just now eat them quite a lot aswell (usually when morrisons reduce them as they are very expensive at the moment). To be honest i never knew there was a problem with cherry pips I just thought it was plum stones that were not good for them

Sonic is such a great name, he looks so healthy, nice thick coat.

Been giving mine cherries for years with no bad effects, most of them see the stone as the prize in the middle. But do avoid peach and nectarine stones, they have amygdalin (cyanide) in the seed within the stone.

It's hard to find true facts about this on the Internet as some sites suggest that even cherry stones contain  cyanide. I've never even tried my chipmunks with a peach stone, and won't be experimenting, it's just easier to remember to throw the stones in the bin. But the cyanide is in the seeds of the peach and nectarine stones, and from what I've read in very small amounts.  Here's some more reading on the subject, but relating to humans:
