Just carry a lot of food on you at all times  :icon_thumleft: What self-righteous chip could resist you then  ;D I use a monkey nut to get Tiny to jump on me so I can take him back to his cage (he's an indoor chip)  :love3:

Well Judy and Sam, I've been handling the babies since they were 10 days old so they should hopefully be used to being handled when you get them. After that I agree - treats work best, but also building trust is good. Chip (the mum) was traumatised after escaping in the car on her way home and it's taken me a long time to get her to trust me but we've got there, and she's getting a lot tamer. Dale I think is generally just a lot calmer so he's been a lot easier to tame.

They are clever little things though. Chip's been able to work out every trick up my sleeve when it comes to catching her - I think at times she's just trying to wind me up :nono:. Thankfully now, she'll just get in the cage on her own though  :hello2:

Thank you for the advice. And you are right. They are smarter than we think.
I am sure we will get there one day. Thanks
