Hermione's babies born 22nd March 2010

Thanks they love my hooded jacket, always try and get inside it. lol
I make sure i wear old clothes though, you should see what they have done to one pair of trousers oh and they love to pull tissues out of my pockets.

Today the babies turn three months old

Wow they are growing up, all four were climbing up the door waiting for me to go in even Ronald-Harry and he is looking big, he's the biggest i think. He may also have the darkest stripes, he's are more like Hermione's than Asriel's. Lottie now appears to be the most cheeky, she is always trying to get onto the camera lens.

I think Pearl came into season on saturday, about two weeks have passed since she last called 28th may but can't be 100% sure it was her as it stopped when i went outside. I got a look at Hermione's underside and there was no swelling to indicate she was in season. I don't think Hermione has called yet but it should going by other females who have had babies be any time now.

I don't know if Pearl is getting bullied but she does spend more time in the nest than the others and today one of them chased her into the house, i didn't see which one and there was alot of squealing but not sure if she was attacked.

We have a problem at the moment, our fridge freezer is malfunctioning so the fridge is like the freezer ice everywhere, the freezer is warm and the chippies cherry tomatoes and cucumber which are in the fridge i gave today was icy, i hope this is ok for them. We can't get it fixed until thursday earliest.

They had eaten the strawberries i gave them so seemed like they liked them. I have some more to give on wednesday i hope they aren't affected by the fridge problem.

Those babies have grown so quickly!  Looking good aren't they?      Could Pearl be pregnant if she's taking to her nest box more?    Maybe it was an alarm call you heard which is why it stopped when you went out?        I'm getting excited now about having a new girly     she won't  replace Fidget but then Fidget was one of a kind wasn't she?     Oh yes....One of the Agouti boys I still have left looks exactly like Lionel...same My Grumpy expression on  his face

Thanks Dayle, yes grew up very quickly, quicker than Sandie's babies i think. I don't think Pearl is pregnant as far as i know, she doesn't seem fat now. Hermione though shouldn't she by now be coming back into season? There has been no sign at least not when i have been around. Yes you couldn't replace Fidget like i couldn't replace Ginger or Hazel there was just something extra special about them , i never feel i am replacing them when i get a new Chipmunk. Thats great that you have a mini Lionel

We haven't had our fridge freezer mended yet, it needs a new part and can't be fixed until next week, grrrr.
Its a big problem we have to use up all our food in a week, can't keep anything frozen in that freezer. One of our internets is completely down as the phone is dead so alot going wrong at the moment.  Anyway enough about that.

I gave the chippies strawberries and satsumas today. Its so funny when i feed Hermione and her babies, the food is like gone in just minutes, they are eating alot. They empty the bowl, I give Pearl some separately so she doesn't have to compete with the others.

About Pearl, i don't think she is looking good, her coat is looking patchy again and she spends alot of time in the nest. I think i have to prepare that she won't be here much longer. She has been through an awful lot in her life. She's eating and drinking fine. I'm sure she looks slim now, she used to be overweight but not now. There is also something about her eyes.

All the others are good, Ronald-Harry i think is bigger than Hermione now, he is so big i'm not sure if he is eating alot, when he sits he does look like he has some weight but it could be just the way he is sitting. All of them though look quite big now, even little Lottie is not so little, shes about the same size as Blossom.

I am planning to let Willow and Nutkin into the main aviary next week, fingers crossed it goes well.

The babies are now 13 weeks old

The babies look very well. Well done.
I love the 4th picture of Ronald-Harry. e looks like he has swallowed a giant monkey nut. I think is just the way you took the picture. They all look fantastic.

Do you mean his cheeks or his weight?
He often has his cheeks full, this time it was almonds and hazel nuts. I think he is getting big, he looks bigger than his sisters and now even his mum. When he sits he looks like he has more weight than his sisters, Asriel is quite a big chippie so maybe he gets it from him and his sisters are more like Hermione, small. He is very fluffy and cute. Maybe he just likes his food

Hi, Hermione's babies are 14 weeks old today. Most of the chippies were feeling the heat, 31 c here and were resting in the shade as much as possible.

In the last pic of Hermione and babies, Ronald-Harry is easy to pick out as he is much bigger than the others.

Hermione's babies are 15 weeks old today. All are doing very well. Ronald-Harry climbed on my trainer and he even started to climb up my trouser leg which may not seem like much but he is getting closer to me.

Babies are four months old today

Hermione's babies are 17 weeks old today. It was another hot day so the babies we're laying around most of the day on the shelf or on the concrete where they stretched out, pancaked, it stays cooler than the wood chips.

Hi, Hermione's babies turned 18 weeks old yesterday. Ronald-Harry has a bit of a weight problem which you have probably noticed, it makes him look quite fluffy

Hermione's babies turned 19 weeks old on monday 2nd August. I've been away since sunday 1st until yesterday so for the first time i have missed the babies turning another week older, anyway when i got back i took some pics, all seem to have been ok while i've not been home.
The babies are looking so big now. I still think Lottie is the cheekiest of the babies. I got some pics of Asriel and Hermione with the babies. When i go in the safety porch Hermione and the babies all climb up the door and most usually jump on me when i go in or they jump on the food i bring in. Anyway they didn't seem too put out they haven't seen me for awhile.

Hermione's little ones became five months old today

All are great. Hermione is good. I made the decision to let Asriel live out of the cage in the aviary with his kids and Hermione again. I will keep a close eye on them all for any trouble. I left the half of the blanket that was on his cage in the aviary as they really like rubbing and rolling on it. I will see if i can get some pictures of that. The babies are really growing up again, the girls are looking alike again as the size difference between them all is less. Lottie is the only one i've seen stand up on her legs to eat. Ronald-Harry was trying to mate with Hermione, a sign he is starting to mature.
